Other than tuna fishing, he is the only guide that I like to go with. He is a good buddy of mine, he stays booked up so I don't get to fish with him much. I do go have a few with him every now and then in the evenings on his boat dock/bar.

I was coming here to start this thread!
This will be my first trip this year and probably my only trip around the spawn. I hope the weather cooperates so we can land some nice ones.
My dad owns a camp in Patroon but last week they went down South and tore them up. Hopefully we can do the same this week.

These two quotes should never go together

I have a baby that's not quite yet a year and quite a few of weddings and bachelor parties coming up very soon. Damn people are screwing up my fishing season.

He's a good guy. We fished with Matt when I took my dad and brother there.
We usually cook them a Courtbillion' when we go.

Here's the report.
DO NOT GO 1-2 AFTER A FRONT!
Now that I'm done with that rant.
Got there Friday afternoon.
Fished the Texas flats for an hour and caught 2 bass. Then went set up at a creek for White Perch. Stayed until 4 AM.
Slept 3 hours.
Saturday headed to Housen where we fished under bluebird skies for 4 hours for 2 keepers.
They had lockjaw due to high pressure, although I heard some decent reports at Pirates Cove and a little farther north of the bridge.
Went back to the creek and set up at the creek and stayed until 1AM
Slept a little over 3 hours.
Got to Patroon about 9 AM and caught 10 nice bass on 4 inch Watermelon seed worms. That's all they would hit on for us.
Headed to Piney where we found some bed fish.
After throwing at a 5 pounder for 15 minutes the boat spun around and I threw a Salt and Pepper grub after 3 throws the fish nailed.
I also caught a few more nice ones on GreenPumpkin Red Lizard near the bank.
Fish were not in a frenzy at any time this weekend and fishing was tough.
End Count.
Bass 25 - 4 were over 4 pounds
White Perch: 79 Most were slabs
I did catch a huge Black Crappie and I may get it mounted.

Nice box. I'm ashamed to say I've never fished Toledo.
