The utters are almost out of milk at this point but I suspect they will keep jerking for at least 1 more season.

Well, seeing as how they have Nikki Minaj on there and I couldn't tell you if I've even heard one of her songs ever, I'd say that it is in the final throes.

Realistically, probably another 4 or 5 seasons. It's in the ground and Fox just has to squeeze every last dollar they can out of it.
Then they'll bring it back 5 years later...
The only entertaining thing about Idol now is seeing which entertainer is in desperate enough need of publicity to judge. At least JLo got a bit of resurgence out of her stint. Doesn't look like that's gonna happen with Mariah this round. Look to see the bottom of the barrel to start being targeted for the following seasons judges.

It's usually number 1 or at least top 3 in the ratings so its not going anywhere anytime soon.

My wife still watches the show. I hate J-Lo. Cunt. Mariah is a huge one too. Even when she complimenting someone she manages to make it about her. Nicki M. is actually pretty funny. She's my favorite judge. Randy "Yo yo yo" and the country dude are alright. Hell, just get rid of Mariah and the show is 10x better. I never understood the point of having 4 judges.

Last season I watched was with Steven Tyler as a judge, I loved him as a judge, the show is meh to me now, I don't watch it anymore.

My wife got me started on it. I always route for the quirky and unique performers.
I will say that I don't like the boring ballads they often start singing when the pack is still really narrowed down.
The interesting thing about idol is that the winners are often not the most successful after the show. This probably has more to do with voting demographic than talent.

Nikki minage is on something on tomorrow's show. I just got back from taping and she calls a couple chicks fat and did something else that made everyone cringe but I forget what it was at the mment. She also asks the Louisiana girl what race she is.

In 2-3 years they'll try some brand new format that will drum up a little more notoriety, like an all star event for all the winners/finalist that haven't done shite since.
I do agree with Fox cancelling it, then bringing it back 5 years later.

Haven't watched the show in several years but they were giving away tickets and I was interested to see how shows like this are shot. It turned out to be awesome.
My friend's wife cancelled at the last minute so it was just us 2 and we were deemed attractive enough to get box seats but not together. They moved my friend around 4 times until he ended up front row right behind/next to Mariah Carey and he sat next to the coach with the backwards kangol. They even called a cut towards the end of the show to have my friend and the coach guy switch places while he answered a question.
I had Mariah and Randy laughing at my fake cheering and Mariah called her assistant over and pointed at me. I kept waiting to be whisked away backstage but it never happened.

The show died when Simon left. At least last season gave me my boy Phillip Phillips.
