He was cold tonight. I think he went 0-7.

Don't know if its the ankle or if Lopez and Anderson are just outplaying him enough that Monty would rather them play rather then let Davis develop just to get a win(which I don't believe he would do) I mean why wouldn't Davis be playing when we have a 20pt lead

To save us all the time.

"yeah I agree"

"Yeah me too"

"No, he would get abused playing 30 minutes a game with that small body"

"I'm with you"

"He's being limited by his ankle"

"+1"

"Hey man frick you, Brow taking us to the playoffs this year"

"Hey man, we are 10 games out of 8th"

"frick you"

"No frick you"

"Fire Monty"

I came to start this tread in a sarcastic attempt. It appears you are serious.

Monty certainly makes player development a priority. That's why Austin Rivers has been getting the minutes that he has.

I don't know why Davis hasn't been playing that much. Its probably a combination of everything in this thread and the other ones. That is the one position we have good depth at so he has to split more minutes, the ankle may be an issue, they might be worried about him getting beat up too much, etc.

Davis is developing. He's still inconsistent at times. You see his improvements but you also see mistakes/lapses and regressions. It's all part of being an 18-19 year old rookie.

I'm happy with his overall development. He's learning to play hard every minute he's on the court. That's and health is all I can ask for at this stage of his career.

For real though, these threads are approaching rant level.

It's one thing to complain/wonder why a guy isn't getting minutes, it's another to do so when the people he would have taken minutes from went off and contributed greatly to a win.

Given the performances or Ryno and Lopez tonight, Davis sitting the bench was just fine by me.

if he can watch other bigs have great games and imitate them and see what to do/what not to do, by all means go ahead.

now if the other bigs have horrible games and he's on the bench, I rather him on the floor

And the fact that he addressed that in his OP

Meh, this is really a reoccurring thread on this board. Most of the time it pops up (weirdly) after Ryno, Lopez, or both have a very good night.

He has played like shite the last month. Yes he's young but he's averaged like 6 points over the last 5 games. Not at all what I expected when he was drafted. 1,2,8,8 the amount of points he's scored over the last 4.
