What are the latest and greats fishing lines

I have been a P-Line user for years and tried the fluorocarbons and wasn't too impressed with them. Are there any new ones out that are better? I am the type that sticks with the same brand if it works but I was wondering if something new has came out.

Not sure I would consider it "new", but the 832 Suffix is the best braid I has come across yet, and I've tried most of them. Previos Suffix, Power Pro, Finn's, etc...The 832 has won me some money, I'm not changing.

I use the trilene fluorocarbon on my flipping rods which has been around forever but is dang near bulletproof . Sunline makes many good lines though and so does seagar . I used to swear by Berkley big game on crankbait and spinnerbait rods but got a couple of bad spools that ruined me on it .

braid and flouro have their uses but mono is where its at for me 95% of the time. 8lb on my spinner and 10lb on my baitcasters. have caught 30 in reds on both no problem........i'd rather not have to deal with the braid if i don't have too.

It's perfect for most applications, only down side is, if you snag and have to pop your line then peel out about 10-20 feet because it is weakened to the point of 2# test.

Im a big power pro fan for plastics, and I use Seaguar Flourocarbon for most everything else. I keep one reel spooled with Trilene big game, too.

Yeh I swapped from the big game to suffix siege 14 pound and I like it but it in comparison to the big game it doesn't have much tensile strength .

Power pro for braid, Seaguar fluro, and BBG for mono are my main ones. I have a couple other spools for certain setups that I still use, Berkly vanish on my shakey head, and Transoptics for shallow presentations.

Power pro is a good braid unless you prefer a more limp braid. I like stren braid because of that. Use big game for most other setups except a couple flouro rigs I have. Use bass pro brand flouro for them. Been very pleased with it.

Never had this problem. I spool my kingfish reels with 20# BBG. I've landed AJs and wahoo pushing the century mark on it and never had a problem. I'd fish the whole tournament with it and clip it directly into downrigger and no issues. Now the fluorocarbon is an entirely different story. I'm a fan of PowerPro.

For most applications, I use Power Pro with a Berkley Vanish leader. It has served me well. For cranking, I either use mono (Trilene XL), or for deep cranking, straight flouro (Seagar).
For spinning set-ups under 12lb, I am really intrigued by Nanofil, but just haven't gotten around to trying it.

I hate vanish. I must have gotten two bad spools in a row, because I tried it again and it still sucked. Broke off very easily.

I only use the Vanish leader material, not the vanish main line. I don't know that it is any different (small spool leader material vs. large spool main line), but I have had good success with it both in 25lb for bass and 40-80lb for saltwater (mangroves up to tuna) applications.

Never had a problem with it on my spinning set ups, one has 8lb, the other has 10lb.

I use 6lb nanofil in my UL spinning reels... Have nothing but good things to say about it

Is it that much better then Power Pro? I haven't had any real issues with Power Pro, using everything from 20lb on a spinning set-up, to 30lb on my bass casting rods, to 50 or 65lb on offshore spinning set-ups. I'm always interested in improving, so I am all ears.
