The red label Seagar is a beast if you want a flouro. Get it at academy ($10) rather than BPS or a local shop ($20 at those two local). cant help on the braid b/c i use 20# seagar on my CR and jigs and havent had a problem

we just recently switched all of our reels to it and it's awesome.
i had used powerpro a couple times before and i had no issues with it but this stuff is just awesome. no issues with it whatsoever

Sweet. How much can I expect to spend for it? I have one reel I need to respool soon and will check it out.

So you do backing with mono to fill the spool then top off the spool with 150 yds of braid?

I have so few uses for braid that I don't even keep it on a reel any more.

The only thing I don't throw on braid is rogues/jerkbaits and crankbaits. I, personally, love the solid hooksets and sensitivity it gives me. Is there something in particular about it you don't like?

i dont back my reels but i dont have any need to, i only have one or two offshore reels and i only go inshore or freshwater fishing so all my reels are small.

I don't like the feel of fighting a fish on it. I feel like I get more pull offs. I fish really, really clear water 80% of the time.

Easiest way to break a leader is to use one with braid.

I bought a spool of the Kanzen on sale at academy, must have been a bad batch, broke off 3 times. Put a bad taste in my mouth, I still Seagar fluro though.

this is true but if it's clarity that you're looking for then that's a solution
also it depends on what lb test and type of not you tie on it

more knots to fail, rather just use all fluoro, personal preference

Am I the only one that uses cajun line? Tried it and still like. It has terrible memory, but I haven't been broken off yet.

Used to do that with c-rig, and whacky. I have gone back to mono for everything now and will switch back to braid if I do not like the experience.

I've removed flouro from all rigs. It just sucks in every way. Terrible, terrible fishing line.
