compares more to Adrian Peterson. Have seen him play over ten times. He has hill's size with elite speed and can catch the football.

We will see, but can we at least agree that he will not end up at FSU?

I have no idea where he's going. Just saying others have said his recruitment is wide open.

Kid is an absolute stud.

He sounded pretty high on LSU yesterday when he was interviewed. Never got quotes like that from McKnight.

Biggest question: if he doesn't go to LSU, will there be a bigger meltdown than there was for McKnight?

Honestly, it depends. Meltdowns mostly depend on how the recruit handles the process. By most accounts, McKnight was pretty much always a USC lean, but sort of strung LSU along and gave the fanbase hope... to the point that even some of the national recruiting "experts" thought he's choose LSU. I don't know exactly why he strung LSU along, but I don't think he ever truly planned on choosing LSU since he openly talked shite about LSU and Larry Porter (his main recruiter, if I remember correctly) after it was all said and done. The meltdown was a result of the last second rejection... though I'd say he clearly planned to reject us all along. It would have been much less if he committed to USC earlier in the process and simply and honestly stated, "Sorry, don't want to lead you on; my heart is just set on USC."

Similarly with Landon Collins last year, he planned on Bama, LSU swayed him, then the girlfriend put the screws to him in the last couple days leading up to the All Star game announcement till he capitulated to her and went Bama. I don't think Collins was a bad kid at all. Had he simply remained a heavy Bama lean and not had his last good visit to LSU and given so many people hope he'd choose the Tigers, the meltdown wouldn't have been nearly as bad... fwiw, I believe he honestly did decide to go to LSU; it was clear to those who followed closely that this caused a spat with his girlfriend and she put the screws to him till he re-chose Bama.

Bottom line, if it comes down to the last week or so before signing day and Fournette chooses elsewhere, there will be a meltdown. How big that meltdown is will depend on how he handles things... as well as how successful LSU is on the field this coming season. A great season will lessen the blow.

/end hijack.

To the poster who mentioned vision: I agree. Forgot to mention that in my earlier post. He really does a fantastic job of keeping his head upfield scanning the defense for a seam to run through.

What makes it look that way? Everything I've read suggests LSU is a heavy favorite.

Adrian Peterson
#28 RB
Minnesota Vikings | Official Team Site
Height: 6-1 Weight: 217 Age: 27
Born: 3/21/1985 Palestine , TX

Leonard Fournette, RB, New Orleans (La.) St. Augustine

Attributes: 6-1/225

They are the almost identical in size and have the very similar running style. The comparisons are warranted.

Anyone think he looks a lot like Alley Broussard?

This is what I thought. Broussard pre-knee injury.

Peterson is the most similar as far as their ability at the High School level.

This is what I was thinking.

Hill does have elite speed for his size. It's not offensive to compare a high school junior to anything but the potential goat.

LF was told to me by a very good source that he is the next Herschel Walker and its a source that doesn't throw around compliments that often.

He is VERY comparable to Adrian Peterson at that age. It doesn't exactly mean he'll blossom into the freak of nature that Peterson became, but there aren't very many that can make the sudden, violent cuts up the field that Fournette can.

Hill is a much stiffer runner than LF. He has Hill's size/strength with Yeldon's open field moves and lateral quickness.

He's a more physical, heavier Yeldon (who is a fricking hoss)

I think he's pretty similar to Jeremy Hill in a lot of aspects. Would say Hill's probably got better top end speed with Fournette being a little more fast twitch in his cuts.
Fournette is faster than Hill.

I swear I've watched his highlights at least like 5 times, but I never noticed just how dirty that move was at 3:35. The way he broke that to the outside after faking inside was just incredible. Didn't lose a bit of speed doing it either.

He's better than McFadden at this stage of his career. Peterson is the best example. LF is a very rare talent
