This dude is going to be the next Bo Jackson. He will make us forget about Kevin Faulk.

Damn. You think he'll be the best running back in all of football during your lifetime?

There's probably a better comparison out there, but everyone knows what AD's running style is like, and Fournette possesses a lot of those characteristics.

Both guys are big, fast, have that upright running style, seek out contact and have great lateral moves. AD is faster; Fournette is bigger.

How does he compare to the kid Bama signed this year (Derrick Henry)? They seem to be drooling over him.

Why?

No one is predicting an NFL HOF career from the dude...yet.

They are simply referencing style, size, etc. and comparing to him entering college.

Some are doing more than that. And, the OP is clearly about quality of back...not style.

His ability to break tackles Is really second to none.

Watching his most recent highlights (junior year), this is definitely what stood out to me too. Hell there was a play where he ran through about 4 different players (pretty sure they were all white, but nonetheless) and then outran everyone to the endzone. Dude is special, no doubt.

That play at 4:15.. WAS ridiculous...

I'm going old school. Every time I watch Fournette's highlights, he reminds me of Jim Brown.

LINK

It's something about the way he moves. To my amateur, untrained eye, they look similar in the way they start one way then shift or reverse course through creases in the defense. It's not an abrupt change of direction like Barry Sanders who looked like a waterbug darting around, and to a lesser degree other smaller backs like McKnight who could make razor sharp cuts; or even Trent Richardson, who could surprisingly (for his size) stop on a dime then re-accelerate. It's more like he's moving, then shifts and his upper body sways with momentum till he's re-balanced and suddenly moving full speed in a new direction.

Also, they look the same to me when they run into defenders, get half way stood up and remain looking... I don't know... poised?... as they somehow push through the tackles and break free again. Then-- once they see daylight-- turn the jets on.

Jim Brown is before my time really, but something about LF's highlights instantly made me want to look at Brown's.

Of course, this is high school competition and there's no guaranteeing that he'll do as well against college players, who are generally bigger and tackle better. Still, he does seem to have "it". Sure do hope I get to see more highlights over the next few years with him wearing P&G. He looks fun to watch.

My favorite thing about fournette is his vision. How a lot of his lanes a clogged and he still finds a way to score.

watching his highlights he looks developed beyond his age like a college junior more than a high school junior, and treats his opponents like boys in a man's game.

I haven't followed him very closely other than what is posted on the RB, but how is his attitude? Humble? Hard working? Cocky? Does he hate to lose or hate to individually have a bad game? Is he coachable or hard headed? TIA for any info that the insiders can share regarding his attitude.

Biggest question: if he doesn't go to LSU, will there be a bigger meltdown than there was for McKnight?

Possibly. But, it looks like his recruitment is pretty open.

I think he's pretty similar to Jeremy Hill in a lot of aspects. Would say Hill's probably got better top end speed with Fournette being a little more fast twitch in his cuts.
