Question about a deal I think I found on a gun

I found a browning x-bolt gold medallion chambered in .300 Winchester short mag. It also comes with a Leopold vari x 2 3x9x50 with Talley mounts. The gun is used but its in fantastic shape. They are asking $800 for it. I'm I crazy for thinking this is a deal to good to pass up? I don't need or really even want the gun, but I think I can turn it around pretty quick.

New the scope is over $400, the gun retails for $1029, and the rings and bases about $100

Great deal. I'd buy it and would never shoot a 300 WSM. Can easily get $1200-$1500 for it.

I'm buying it tomorrow, and I'm selling it to my good buddy for $825. That's a really good deal for him too but i don't need it. The kicker is that he is going to let me pull off the scope and put on an older Nikon Prostaff. So I'll make $25 bucks on the gun and a $200 upgrade on the scope.
