Watch a series like lost or something crazy.

When you are set up for long periods of time I think it's better to do series and get really into it

I was sick most of last week, watched all of Firefly, followed up with Serenity.
Had the wife go rent Season 1 of Castle.
Good luck post surgery, don't smoke, or drink through a straw.

If not a series, watch a bunch of movies in the same genre. Mob/ crime movies, Sci-Fi, sports, whatever.
