FBD was a homebrewed ginger pale ale (not mine) after a kick arse trail run at Clark's Creek. Wow, that is a helluva workout. Huge elevation changes, great creek crossings, and some upper body workout pulling up some of the hills.

Nice, I slept in and haven't run yet so I can't justify a beer yet. I'm going to try and squeeze in 16 later

Sounds like a great run. I'll be hitting up the park soon to get some miles in.

Nice Salmon. I bet that is pure relaxation on a day such as today. My pop has a place up there and he probably out there fishing all day too (although not in a kayak)

I'm laughing at this because one of my facebook friends posts pictures of him drinking Shiner and getting the Shiner family pack and says things like "thank you Shiner for a great beer lineup!" And I want so, so badly to verbally bitch slap him. He lives almost 2 hours away from me so it's not like I can just take him to the Cove and try beers, either.

he nothing wrong with people drinking Shiner...its solid but unspectacular and serves a big purpose as a gate way beer to more bold styles/brands for many folks including myself.

I drink plenty of shiner bock and it never fails to do its job...most of their lineup is ok but nothing will nock your socks off. Their heifewizen is actually pretty decent and I'm not even a big fan of that style.

I'm not saying it's bad, I just know that there's much better and it frustrates me. The thing is, he lives in Ville Platte.. he can't get shite for good beer out there
