Last time I ate at Ryan's/Golden Coral(can't recall which it was) I was in high school and we had to travel to BFE North Louisiana for a playoff game and that's where the team ate lunch.....So I probably won't be much help

Stopped at a Crackerbarrel one time. Not my kind of place, but the group I was traveling with wanted to stop there. There was a no-shite 45 minute wait for a table, and more coming in behind us. It's not terrible food, but if I'm going to wait more than 15 minutes to be seated, it had better be a Galatoire's type experience.

I agree witrh you here. We still eat there plenty. Cracker Barrel's breakfast is just as good as many other places, but the dinner is meh.

You've never had a bad meal at Joe's Crab Shack?

I'm not buying it.

I've always had pretty good service and decent food at O'Charleys.

Best - Cracker Barrel? remarkably consistent from one location to the next. I'd put Carrabba's in 2nd.

Worst - Applebee's

Pretty sure all their stuff is made from scratch too. For a chain that's pretty impressive. I just hate going because you leave feeling disgusting from all the food.

Best: overall, for me, BJ's. I'd love to have one in the town where we live. Of my local selections, Cheddar's has a few decent beers and some good burgers that are under $6

Worst: Olive Garden and Outback. I fricking hate those places.

Impossible. All chain restaurants serve precooked reheated food.

No hate for golden corral?

Went to the world's largest one in Branson, MO just b/c they advertised it as that. Now imagine yourself at an all-you-can-eat golden corral in Branson. Most memorable thing I did there.

Sounds like hell.

Last time I visited a Golden Corral was 10 years ago out in Kenner.
There were fat trashy people all over. A good 25% of the tables had not been busses, so there was crap every where. I almost slipped on chicken wings and noodles on the floor at the buffet. Watched a kids stick his hand in the buffet.

Just one of the most disgusting feelings I've ever had at a restaurant.
