Only missed the playoffs 5 times in their 62 year history. Been to almost HALF of all nba finals. Have won a championship in every single decade minus the 90s and the 60s. Have at least played in a NBA final in every single decade. Longest period without making the playoffs would be 2 consecutive years....

Football: Bears Baseball: Yankees Basketball: Celtics Hockey: Montreal this is all time. You can't say Steelers cause they sucked for 50 years. Can't say Niners cause they didn't exist for 50. Bears is toughest call. Yanks not really debateable, Lakers are close but Celtics 60's run is unmatchable. Montreal hasn't won in years but it's like football, all time it's them

NAILED IT, But I would say the Packers above the bears.

But the Celts won SOOO many Championships in a row that its NOT even funny. BUT.. If you want to talk from 1980 and beyond??? The Lakers ARE the ANSWER.

Yea in a league with 10 or less teams. Do you know how freaking bad they were in the 90s and for most part up until 2007? Lakers win for sustaining their excellence for their entire history. Not just one decade

You can definitely make an argument for the red wings

No, you really can't. They didn't win a title from 1956-1995. Their recent run has been awesome, but they were pretty awful in the era between Howe and Yzerman.

Since its all-time, you can leave out the Providence Steamroller...

j/k, I've always wanted to mention the here, though.

Packers (then Giants)
Yankees (then...Giants? Cards?)
Lakers (then Celtics)
Hockey (then I fall asleep)
