Looks like a bunch of knights trying to make a phalanx.
Game is a blast, especially if you play with some buddies. A friend and I like to make a drinking game out of it. Good times.

Apparently this is a first person "slasher" ,not shooter, with objective gamemodes and multiplayer

It's $25 though. I got it on sale from GreenManGaming.com for $8 during all the crazy sales. A lot of people got it for $12.50 from the Steam sale.
I don't see a deal on it anywhere right now but GreenManGaming has a 20% off coupon you can use if you really want it now.
Also, there is a free mod on Steam if you have any of the source engine games that is a lot like it. It's called Pirates, Vickings, and Knights II.

Chivalry is a ton of fun. I saw the kickstarter and knew I had to donate. It's a lot of fun and similar to War of the Roses as well.

yep, I play it. It's so much fun. Think of it as COD except instead of sniping someone you decapitate them with a fricking sword. Instead of planting the bomb in Demolition you burn down a fricking wheat field. It's awesome.
