The same DBP. I tried it twice at a local restaurant/bar and really enjoyed it, particularly the nose. Had my second snort of it Saturday night and decided to open one of mine tonight.

Thats what I thought as well. Nose was full of caramel and candy. Probably the highlight of this year's bday bourbon.

thanks for the feedback ... I have ec12 and BT in the house now. I've been fortunate enough to try some good bourbons in the past but I'm far from an expert on what's good.

I need a nice bottle of bourbon for the holidays. $100 or so. What you got?

To help one of my favorite's is wild turkey tradition.

I don't personally think "nice" bottles of bourbon really are determined according to their cost. Especially considering their cost and their apparent "value" appear to be different things according to people driving a ridiculous secondary market.
But some good pours that you could get would be EHT Barrel Proof, Barrerhouse, Rhetoric, a Four Roses single barrel barrel strength(preference varies with different mashbills) and I'm sure there are a few others that people will suggest. But I'd say save some of your money and get a bottle of Blanton's (or two and give one to the house you're celebraing at) or Angel's Envy for something different.

I have, it's really good. However, if you are thinking about purchasing it from a BR establishment.... it's overpriced there.

Is it now showing up on shelves in the states, or did a dealer or collector sell it to him?
