Not a Nega tiger. Just because you yell at your kids doesn't mean you hate them. Florida went out and made a great hire at offensive coordinator. They have a lot of different looks offensively. The San Fran 49ers same idea. Our offense is so plain and predictable. We have lost all imagination on our personnel groupings and play calls. Listen if a 7 year old knows what your running 80 percent of the time,
So does the other teams staff.

I can't remember a single play this year where I said, "wow brilliant play call!" How about a halfback pass, a flee flicker, a hook and latter, a Statue of Liberty? I have no
problem loosing a game but go down swinging. Throw everything you got at them. For gods sake loom at what other teams are doing. After all what your doing is entertainment isn't it? I would honestly rather watch old people frick than Lsu's offense this season!

Then you clearly either don't watch the games or you know nothing about football and want every single play to be an 80 yard TD pass.

if you haven't noticed offensive improvement over the last 4 games then i can't really help you. Mett was outstanding (as far as what we had become accustomed to over the past 3 years) over that stretch. I'm excited about next year with all that we have returning. Mett, Landry, Beckham, Hill, Blue, Hilliard, an exp line (with Faulk back). We have some pieces I hope we can hold on to on defense, but I think we should be favored to win the west imo.

Enough with the critiquing of the offense. That was clearly better over the past 4 games.

He's talking about creativity, not production. I agree with him.

There are about a billion different ways to run inside zone, outside zone, power, etc. and we don't. We lack creativity.

No new wrinkles, motions, etc. Anything to give defenses different looks to get away from tendencies. More of that would be good.

I'm negative though.

offense digressed in the last game so not accurate on that 4 game BS. Playcalling was bad again. Why we have to run a wildcat to pick up 1 yard when they couldn't stop jeremy hill all game is beyond me. The 4th down calls alone this year were terrible. We pay this staff over $5MM a year man. What do you make? I would guess that the most brilliant minds in the world are not coaching football and that many people watching these games could do a better job with minimal time to learn.

Ware toss to Ford against A&M.

TD pass to the TE in the slot against Bama that was called back bc "Hill wasn't set".

Or the huge third down pass at the end of the game against Arkansas to ODB when everyone in the stadium and both announcers thought we would run up the middle?

Or the first time we pitched the ball to Ford in the Warecat in the A&M game and it went for a huge gain?

These aren't brilliant play calls, these are trick plays.

So to illustrate ur point that we need more offensive creativity, u chose one of the sec teams w a worse offense than lsu?

Golf pro has an excellent point. At what point and time will Les Miles realize that he can't use Running Back A to run the ball inside, Running Back B to run the ball outside, Formation A to run the football, Formation B to pass the ball.

Last year, LSU was just so absurdly better than everybody that we did whatever we wanted and they couldn't stop us. Every other year since 2009 we run into a brick wall because other teams know based off our personnel and formation exactly what we are going to do.

If y'all really what to know what the biggest reason for our passing game success over the last 4 games was, it was that we actually started running more routes. It doesn't take much film work for a good defense to figure out that starting with Auburn and ending with South Carolina, LSU's passing game consisted of about 3 routes. Quick slants, 10 yard outs, and the occasional sluggo. I do realize that the receivers catching the ball actually helped out tremedously, but we also started running more passing routes and our receivers were able to get some separation from the defenders.

How many Florida games do you watch? Sounds like a case of the grass is always greener. I do like their OC, but in the 2nd half against LSU, which was one of the 2 UF games i watched, they ran the ball the vast majority of the time. The other game i saw was v UGA and they scored 9 points. I wasn't exactly reminded of Mouse Davis either time and based on the outcome of their other games, it does not look like the 2 I saw were outliers.

I thought the slip screen to Ware vs USCe was a great call. We threw to the backs alot more this year and it was effective. No short side option this year either. I can live with the offense we have now but I would like a little more variety.

all you needed to do was watch the bama game. Many times we came out on 1st down in heavy sets and threw out of them with success.

There is no need to overload your younger players (first year starting qb, two freshman OL, young wr's) with tons of change ups. If we execute what we do well and we win with it, why change it drastically. We added enough adjustments to beat bama. The defense just didn't finish the game. Early vs UF we had a lot of issues including MAJOR drops by the wr's and lots of OL shuffling.

The problem with this is that "brilliant play call" doesn't necessarily mean "gimmick play". In fact, it almost never does. Brilliant play calls are the calls that anticipate the defensive set and utilize a non-gimmicky, but perfectly unexpected offensive play in response. There were a good number of those. But unless your'e attuned to seeing the brilliance in something other than backyard gimmicks, you'll miss them.

Oh, and it's "hook and ladder", a play on the name for a certain type of firefighter company and the play itself, which calls for a hook pattern followed by a lateral.
