Have a mule going to Georgia tomorrow and will come home with whatever I want. Question is, what beer are must gets in Georgia that we can't get here. Thanks!

Envy, feel free to chime in as some of this is headin your way.

Not sure what you've had access to before, but the following breweries are notably good and not available in LA:

Oskar Blues
Dogfish Head
Bells
Sweetwater (mainly the IPA)
Terrapin
Uinta
Victory
Founders

I'm missing a few more.

This is sort of what I'm thinking...

Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout
Founders Breakfast Stout
Hopping Frog Boris the Crusher
5 Seasons North Whisky Barrel Aged Quinte55ence (or the regular one)
Terrapin Substance abuse Ale
Terrapin Rye Squared
Terrapin Side Project Hopzilla Double IPA
5 seasons Hopgasm
Terrapin Coffee Oatmeal Imperial Stout

What a wish list! If ut is correct in that Oskar Blues is available there, you need to add their Ten Fidy stout to the list.

We can border hop to Beaumont to get it. I'm trying to broaden it to beers I haven't had. I'm also gonna try to get the mule to stop in mississippi to bring back some sixers of Timber beast (haven't had it).

Natural Light!

There are some good brews here, but NOTHING available in my part of the world. Hell, I was happy to see SA Winter Lager here!

I understand the Dogfish is good, but I don't know their offerings....

Wish I could help!!

OK, that makes sense.

ETA: Good People from Birmingham AL makes a great DIPA called Snake Handler that might be available in GA.

There is a website that shows you all the breweries distributed in a certain state. It will also show which ones are unique to that state (like what can be found in Georgia but not Texas)

Too bad I misplaced the bookmark. It's a really nice tool for these situations.

I've never seen it here in Atlanta.

Will your friend be shopping in town? If so, I'd suggest sending him to Hop City on the west side of town. Amazing selection there.
