Headed to La Thai tomorrow night for a friend's birthday. I'm pretty open to eating anything. Any suggestions/recommendations?

I don't know what these guys are talking about. Love this place. Go there pretty frequently.

I usually get the Thai Coon, the duck, or the seafood curry. Lots of good stuff there

My favorite there is the Mee Grob Laht Nah. The spicy red sauce is terrific.

F the naysayers...

Apps are great, we always do the coconut shrimp with the sweet chili glaze and the masaman curry with chicken (ask them to up the spice level) and drunken noodles...

Mussels appetizer

For entree, either crab 3 ways or seafood curry.

get the tom kha soup.

IMO, it's ok. its overpriced and the menu is limited. I guess I was spoiled when I lived in Houston.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm just 1 in a party of 8 and this is where the birthday boy wanted to go.

Started with oyster appetizer which was perfectly fried - melting from crunchy, nested in an unexpected artichoke relish, with a little heat and sweet in the sauce. The wife had the drunken noodles which came as a huge helping, laden with chicken and didn't skimp on the shrimp. I had the Seafood Chauvin (redfish with a red curry sauce topped with shrimp and crawfish) with Wasabi Mashed Potatoes which was fantastic. I have linked the recipe for those interested...
