Every time they showed him on camera, you could feel the pain this guy is going through. To still go out and do what he did today is amazing to me. Had that been me, I don't think I'd be strong enough to keep it together. Props and condolences sent to him and his family.

Don't really care if this has been talked about already

I never thought he would've played tonight. It's crazy that he was able to do what he did

I dont know how he did it. Call me a pussy, but his performance and the post game recognition almost had me in tears.

this all the way. I was surprised the reporter jumped straight into the questions about it, but I guess she knew it would get major views (kinda sad in a way). I was watery eyed just watching

his brother died in a motorcycle accident late saturday night/sunday morning. He decided to play anyway catching 2 TDs. Basically could see him holding tears back the entire game

sports can get me closer to tears than anything else in the world. the espn top moments from the decade videos had me teary eyed, especially the 9/11 part.

His brother died early Sunday morning, he went home to his family, came back for the game, played and had a great game.

No, dude. It was Sat night/Sun morning. He played less than 24 hours after it happened.

I thought Michelle Tafoya immediately jumping to that question was tactless and rude. You could even see Flacco and Rice roll their eyes.

i noticed that too, and thought the same thing. You could tell he was expecting it. His voice was shaky but he held it together for the most part.

I wasn't sure this was the best idea.

But as for Torrey, I think sitting on the couch with his family watching the game would have been worse than not playing. After a family member dies, there is the initial shock and telling everyone. Then there is the wait for the funeral. Between the shock and the funeral, it's just a lot of time sitting around thinking it's not appropriate to do anything. I'm sure he was tired, but besides that, I agree with his decision. Best to do something, anything instead of sitting around looking at each other and then starting the crying all over again.

She always asks stupid questions. And always sounds stupid doing it.

I thought the entire broadcast team was pretty shitty about it. I'm definitely not one for being overly sensitive to words and such but Collinsworth said something like...what a phenomenal game for Torrey Smith, he'll remember this performance forever...almost like it was all positive.
