I'm in the mood for some traditional Italian food. I love Domenica but would like to try something new. Recommendations? TIA

Venezia, Maximo's or the best: Eleven Seventy Nine.

Vincent's.
I am partial to their corn and crabmeat bisque in the bread bowl.

I was going to say Vincent's but you specified "traditional" Italian. Maximo's or Mosca's. I've had an excellent meal or two at Tony Angelo's, but I haven't been since Katrina.

Can't believe it hasn't been mentioned yet...Ristorante da Piero. It is in Kenner though.

Was going to post that, probably the best in the Metro area.
Alpdolpho's on Frenchmen is very solid as well.

Beware of the wait at Adolfo's. There are tradeoffs for those reasonable prices.

Mona Lisa on Royal is definitely worth a look.

Traditional Italian or Traditional Creole-Italian?
For the former, second the a Mano recommendation (although traditional Italian is as vague a term as Chinese food). For the latter, Vincent's is pretty solid.
