Will be eating there, wondering what your opinion is. Dos and donts are appreciated

It is a po-boy shop. Get what you like. But, it is a little different. Like the shrimp po-boy comes with ketchup on it automatically.

It's diffrent. Funny that it was selected to be on the best sandwich in America show, it's not even the best sandwich in the city much less America. However I do like the place.

Ketchup. I have eaten there atleast 200 times if not more and it is what it is.
TTT if you like ketchup on your shrimp po-boy order a large with extra hot sauce and have a really cold schooner of draft beer.

i think its the one of the worst poboys in the city. I get a lot of crap for that but there poboy bread is hard and thick which makes it hard to eat. I dont get what people see in this place other than its historic but so is every other place in nola

Not always, but they obviously don't order bread daily.

Definitely not worth the wait. I'd rather Yangs or Parkway for shrimp and R&O's and Parkway for roast beef.

First thing I think of is the ketchup.

Not a fan. I was always a Guys, Parkway, Magazine Street, and Crabby Jacks fan for po boy.
Oh yeah, Johnny's too if I am in the Quarter.

Unfortunately, Domilise's survives on tradition, atmosphere, nostalgia, etc. The food just isn't that great. Dozens of better choices in Uptown.
