For me and most of my cohorts in North Alabama:
Pulled pork on a white bun, mayo on both sides of bun, vinegar sauce (sometimes whitesauce) on meat, topped with vinegar slaw.
NO tomato based sauce EVER. NO coleslaw EVER.

White bread absolutely kills good BBQ to me. It's like wrapping a steak up in newspaper.

I'm in South East Virginia just above East Carolina, so I eat mine eat Carolina style minus the slaw. I'd rather just put a couple of pickles on top. I've just never been into slaw.
I prefer the thinner, vinegar based sauces, but Stubbs does makes some nice tomato based sauce.

I'd prefer pulled pork with mayo, Sweet Baby Rays original, with no slaw on Texas toast.

My parents are from Birmingham and they put the pulled pork on a white bun with the tomato based sauce and pickles.
In North Mississippi we put the pork on a white bun with cole slaw and mustard based sauce.

I'm a fan of the burnt end sandwich with a spicy tomato sauce. White bread necessary

That is a pale faced BBQ sandwich might as well be a ham sammich.

tons of pulled pork between a kaiser roll w/ tangy bbq sauce and raw red onions

Toasted white buns
Chopped brisket (more ends the better)
Sliced onion and pickles
Dash of BBQ sauce
Same works well with hot links. I like pulled pork it's just rare to find decent in these parts.
