I have a half red hound/boxer mix. Short to medium hair. She is shedding like crazy. Need something to help thin all the shedding hair.

Edit: if she will let you, some animals like it, some are freaked by the noise.

I agree. We have one that we use on our lab and it is amazing the amount of hair that comes off that dog.

Another vote here for the Furminator. It works great on my Choc. Lab. You can find em cheaper on ebay or Amazon.

FURminator by far! Get it from amazon. The one I just got was normally $75. I got it for $21.

I have the Furminator and have used it on my lab. It gets a hell of a lot of loose hair out, but during the summer I do it and it seems to make him shed more. Kind of loosens up the hair and makes it fall out like normal.

Some good foods cut his shedding down 50-75%. EVO and Orijen seem to work the best for him

$25 at Target. Its the same as the Furminator except it doesn't have the thing that pushes the hair off the brush. I don't mind having to pull the hair off the comb since it saved a few bucks
ETA cant get the damn pic to show up. Its called a Furgo brush
