Ever?

Christian Laettner

He has him listed #2 player in his book..."Fabulous 50 players" from his time at ESPN.

My first thought was JJ Reddick... he has a leg up for playing 4 years also.

Tim Duncan was slightly before my time.

I vaguely remember Battier and he's up there. Reddick would be up there too.

I'll go Wojo though.

Ewing is #1; Jordan is #4

14 are from Duke and NC.

Those Duke teams solidified Vitale and his shtick. Late 80's early 90's it was nothing but Laettner this and Laettner that.

Well that tells you how much Dickie V slurped him then. I remember nothing about Duncan. I can't forget all of Dickie Vs antics when Wojo would slap the floor like a gorilla.

He said Jay(son) Williams was a top 5 point guard....IN THE WORLD! Only Kidd, Payton and a few others during his last year at Duke.

Oh, and apart from Christian being ranked #2 in his book the last 30 years...he also doesn't include these players in his Top 50...

Gary Payton (National Player of the Year) - Dick ignores the Pac 10, Reggie Miller or Charles Barkley.

But...Johnny Dawkins, Grant Hill, Danny Ferry, Jason Williams, Shane Battier, Bobby Hurley and JJ Reddick make the Top 50 with Laettner.
