| Are the Saints now responsible for football brain injuries? (Posted on 5/16/12 at 5:35 pm)
Just before I switched off the CBS evening news, Scott Pelley was doing the intro for tonight. I happened to catch this part:
quote:
Reason to worry about our troops. Theres new evidence today that America's combat veterans are suffering the same brain damage seen among some football players
They showed clips of explosions in the middle east followed by two clips of football games. The first was the Saints hit on Kurt Warner, the second was a sack of Alex Smith from the 49ers game this year. Amazing, that those were both legal hits and in that very same 49ers game, it was a Saints player who was knocked unconscious by the 49ers defense. Seems like the media is now making the Saints into the face of football related brain injuries.

9 out of 10 traumatic brain injuries are caused by the Saints. True story.

The 10th was caused by someone who either played for the Saints at one point or grew up as a Saints fan.

Most head injuries happen to defensive players.

The Saints are the reason the European economy is in the crapper. And they told Obama to support gay marriage.

Speaking of that....I haven't heard (because the media obviously only cares about the saints vengeful defense)...Is Pierre ok? Ready to go for next year. Just a concussion?

yes, it's true, as well as being responsible for katrina, the economy, 9-11, the tsunami in japan, hitler's treatment of the jews, the first black prez, etc, etc... it's all the saints fault, just ask RG and ESPN

Even more amusing is the fact that the "hit" on Warner was a BLOCK after an interception, that he was hit in the chest and shoulder, and NOT the head or knees. There was not 1 late hit called against the Saints on Favre in the NFCCG. Not one. That's because the swiss-cheese Viqueen O-line allowed the Saints to get to him, plus the fact that, according to the NFL rulebook, it apparently is ok for a QB to get hit AS HE IS RELEASING THE BALL, or even a split-second afterward. Also, in the 3 seasons Williams was in N.O., there were 0 Saints opposing players "carted off." Zero. The closest was Warner and Favre, who were walked off. I hope Vilma is right, and is vindicated.

The Saints are responsible for convincing Satan to turn on God and get kicked out of Heaven. It was Sean Payton and Mickey Loomis that spawned hell by whispering sweet nothings into the devil's ear.
