Neighborhood Potluck Thing

We are having a neighborhood potluck thing this weekend at the pool. Kinda gonna be a meet and greet social. Any suggestions or good recipes to share? So far I am considering ribs, chicken wings, or Canes tailgate platter. I know very few of these people personally.

TIA.

Neighborhood?

Lol.

I usually bring my house jambalaya or grilled duck breasts to dealios such as that.

U need to decide if u wanna cook or not - and go from there. Were yall "assigned" app, entree, side, or dessert?

We weren't assigned anything and I am not sure what to expect

I am thinking I may just bring the Canes and be done with it but wanted a little input from the wise ones here, it is gonna be at 2:00 in the afternoon so not really a sit down meal thing.

Go with the fried chicken if you're in Dutchtown.

Mid day by the pool with kids, bring PB&J sandwiches, crustless and quartered. They'll do fine outside and the adults will even eat them.

I'm serious.

You can never go wrong with a huge Chick-Fil-A nugget platter.

Or you could make a taco ring or 2, brisket skinners, shite on a shingle, meatballs are always a good option, or maybe a pile of wings from somewhere or grilled at home

Maybe try a sandwich platter from the local grocery store with assorted sandwiches

I'd rather do that over going to the wedding I'm scheduled to attend in the city.

If you are going to buy chicken, dint go with Canes. Their chicken is not very good to begin with and it's really bad when it cools off. Go with Popeys or Chick file

I would have to do Leaders since our Dutchtown popeyes flew the coop.

Chickfila nugget platters are always a big hit.

Walmart does a good chicken strip platter as well.

The wife is thinking meatballs. I may do wings, sausage, and meatballs. I'm not about to feed these neighbors all of my stash of Opa's jalapeño cheese sausage.

If Mrs Wales wasn't such a picky eater, I would have lots more options.

She will eat chicken salad............if her momma makes it.
