"more than a FOOT long invade waters off Gulf Coast"

quote:

The black-and-white-striped shrimp can grow 13 inches long and weigh a quarter-pound, compared to eight inches and a bit over an ounce for domestic white, brown and pink shrimp.

quote:

'They’re supposed to be very good,’ Pam Fuller, a biologist with the U.S. Geological Survey told CNN. ‘But they can get very large, sorta like lobsters.’

(Sorry if they are GERMAN shrimp. I did search and didn't find anything)

I kinda want to put one on a treble hook under a popping cork in Grand Isle and see what I can come up with.

Peel 20 brown shrimp to get a lbs or 2 of these bad boys.

I'm going with the Tiger.

This would be like asian carp tasting like redfish. I don't think this "nuisance" will be much of a problem for long.

I went to vietnam about 9 years ago and ate "shrimp" at a little restraunt at camron bay. I was asked how many Kilograms of shrimp i wanted and i said 2. About 10 minutes later, the waiter brought out 2 giant shrimp that looked alot like the OPs. They were a bit chewy but the taste was great. Im not sure how they were cooked but they definately hand a citrusy flavor.
