well rounded shotgun to shoot home invaders. ideally suited for a wife to shoot.
I was looking at:
Beretta TX4 Storm 12 Gauge
and
Benelli M4

If its for home defense, 870 will be the popular answer.

If you are truly looking for a "well rounded" shotgun I advise you wait. I am currently designing a Judge that can shoot underwater with the same great destruction power that we have came to see on land.
This project first started a few weeks back when somebody made a post about snakes biting underwater. After many days of discussion it was established that they indeed could. I, along with others, were left scratching our heads on what we could do to defend ourselves against this new found threat. I have personally ranked this threat a code yellow (same level as slow moving zombies with the ability to adapt but not use weapons).
I have dedicated every day and night since then to finding a solution to this threat. The obvious choice was a Judge. However, it is common knowledge that no standard .410 shotgun can penetrate the skin of an underwater snake. I cannot give out too much information without potentially giving away the blueprints. However, do know that I am expecting a delivery of depleted uranium from my Nigerian prince contact any day. Please be patient and I will keep the OB updated.
Eta date: early 2013

I read the news looking for the mention of the Judge in for whatever reason. Haven't found it yet.

I would be a mad man with that! It would be fun to mow down a flock of ducks with that thing though.
