"Tiger Stadium" on the outside of West Upper...

This is a few of the renderings for the updated West Side exterior which they started construction on recently....In the first picture, You can see in the top right that it appears "TIGER STADIUM" will be in big block letters towards the top. I really like that, and hope they follow through with putting that up there. I'm excited about the South end zone expansion, but I'm almost equally excited about the West and North exterior renovations/upgrades. The West exterior needs some "character" and I think what they're doing is going to be really nice. It will be nice taking the focal point off of the blah two huge center columns and onto the main gate/championCircle as well as Tiger Stadium wording up top.

i hope they change that signage up a little personally. i dont mind it being written somewhere but i dont like how it looks in the picture.

I totally disagree....I would love "TIGER STADIUM" to be prominent/visable and the focal point of the West Side exterior.

Agreed. Really like the idea but wouldn't mind them tinkering with the "font" a little.
Would be really tight if they had "Welcome to Death Valley" instead.

Yeah, I like the block letters....I hope they do it just like they have it in that photo...same font, same placement, everything. It would definitely be cool to see Tiger Stadium in huge block lightup letters on the exterior.

A pity it isn't "Death Valley" instead of Tiger Stadium. I really do miss the Welcome to Death Valley sign in TS.

the westside of tiger stadium is one of the ugliest features on the LSU campus. That fricking brick or tile shite around the glass looks ridiculous

I think most people do....I know they have it on the scoreboard, but most people would prefer it be a little more prominent.
Maybe at some point they could build a wall to cap off the top of the north endzone and put Welcome to Death Valley across it in huge lettering.

I agree...but i think one of the reasons we all hate the West Side at this point is because that side is so "bare" and "bland" that the eyes automatically focus on the huge bland columns. That side currently just looks so drab and lifeless.
Once they get Champion's Circle there, new gates, etc, and the Tiger Stadium up top, it will make it look better and not as bland as it will take the focus off that cement brick or whatever it is. Or at the very least it will add some character to it.

Looks pretty good. Adding some decent tv's that are newer than 30 years old in the stadium would also be nice so you can actually see the game when walking to get food or going to the restroom.

yep...no question IMO that the West side is gonna look better once they get through "accessorizing" and dressin it up a little bit.
