Yeah, sorry...I was just disagreeing with changing how they have it in the rendering. I like how they have it in that picture (font, placement, etc).

I would make a new post.. but this seems like a good enough thread.

How would you all feel about a new stadium (however far away that is, 25 years or something) that goes for a look as if you mixed The Coliseum and the current Death Valley (took some design elements from both, but kept it uniform around the entire structure)?

Tiger Stadium has such history that I doubt they ever build a new stadium. They'll renovate and sometimes maybe even completely replace parts of the lower bowl (like they did with the West upper), but I doubt they ever build a new stadium.

After they are done with the SEZ and West/North exterior, I'd imagine the next step (in 5 or so years) will be to cap off the north end zone with Suites and/or totally renovate/rebuild the north end zone.

Geeez those are some cheesy renderings. My bosses would tear that shite up if I put that in their desk. I like how they made the pavement a reflective surface.

Disagreeing with this has no correlation with someone's intelligence. You're response illustrates you're pretty fricking dumb.

Prepare yourself. People are going to destroy this comment, even though I, too, like it.

I like it. I think it will be cool seeing "TIGER STADIUM" on the West side from Nicholson Drive, River Road, Vet Bldg, etc.
I wonder if the letters can be lit up at night?

Also I really think a "Welcome to Death Valley" maybe in lights also, could be put up somewhere in the new SEZ arches!

I sure hope so. My guess would be yes. Would look great at night lit up IMO.

Not really sure how the name of the actual stadium makes it look like a theme park.

To each his own I guess, but your comment about me being dumb for merely liking the name of the stadium being prominent on the exterior seems a bit uncalled for.

And while it's unavoidable that people will have differences of opinions on upgrades/renovations and what should/should not be done, I think everyone agrees that what they're doing to the West side will make it look better than it currently does.

I really like the stuff they just came out with for the South Facade, and the North looks good too, but I think the west side is just so ugly that there isn't much they're going to be able to do with it that will look good.

The west just looks like they didn't care how it looked and took the lowest bid for the work. There wsn't even an effort to make it work with the rest of the stadium. Its right up there with CEBA, Middleton, and Locket as ugliest things on campus IMO.

But, but, this guy spent a lot of time making his own rendering of Tiger Stadium that literally looks like a high school kid's work in an animating class. You better check yo'self fool.
