Where did he bitch? What did he say? I haven't heard any reports or quotes come out of Brees yet.

He is a future HOF QB, the most accurate passer ever, led the Bless you boys to the Superbowl, brought the Lombardi to NOLA, ushered in the golden age of Saints football, and did it all without opening his mouth about money or anything else off the field.

My opinion is that Drew is a fricking incredible Saint and no amount of "bitching" will change my opinion of him. He could slaughter baby kittins on the field and drink their blood and i would cheer for him.

Pay the fricking man. There is no reason not to give him all the money they can find.

At the expense of other key positions/signings?

Are times that tough for poor Drew? I understand inflation and the bad times currently. I guess 15 million a year doesn't go a long way with three kids anymore.

Let the man be art owner of the Saints if he wants. He deserves it.

So let me get this straight, you'd rather pay Nicks and Colston and let Drew walk? Who's Nicks going to protect and who's going to throw to Colston?

Drew Brees is the single most important player on the team and he's the single most important player this franchise has ever known.

Pay. Him.

I get all that. But at what point is it asking too much, and negatively affecting the team and the players around you?

I understand that Drew can do pretty much anything, but we still need to worry about the other 21 players on the team.

if the 23mil is the actual demand, I may be a little miffed with him, I haven't seen that from his camp. I'd also like to see someone other than Kaare Johnson say he's refusing to sign his tag

Maybe not bitching, but his refusal to work with the team to get a reasonable deal done.

He refused to sign a deal worth millions, for a few extra millions, is that accurate?

He can have it if the Saints gut the team. I was afraid of this. No question he deserves it. I remember Troy Aikman restructuring his contract with Dallas to get better players.

The saints will have to pay Drew what he wants. They are just trying to keep as many pieces with Drew they can

Never thought I would see the day where any Saints fan, even a small minority, would turn on Drew Brees. Yet that's exactly what they are doing. Amazing.

No thats how the business is done. The player offers a ridiculouse amount, the team low balls, the team uses its advantage(franchise tag in this case), the player bitches and wines. A deal gets done and both sides are happy thats how it works
