Pussification of America.

You should do everything within the rules to knock out the other team's best players.

People need to get a grip. The whole sport is about violence. How people think it is "crazy" that this kind of stuff would happen boggles my mind...

What's bad arse is tackling, not giving up big plays and winning games.

defensive players get paid to hurt offensive players. Regardless of if it is an official bounty.

i cant believe the negative backlash from this from the media. I am glad some opposing players understand that this is fairly normal and just comes with the sport.

In a sport that has cracked down on after whistle penalties and "hard hits", its hard to sit here and say that the Saints were doing anything so bad that the referees wouldnt catch on. You know how much they are cracking down.

All of me thinks its bad arse. Players paying each other to play well instills comradery among them. I bet they played twice as hard for bragging rights for getting the bounty more than the bounty itself.

Geaux Saints.

Other players need to come down from the ivory tower. It's highly unlikely that the saints are the only team doing this.

My thoughts exactly. I fail to see the big deal. Its not like league rules were abandoned.

Brett Favre had no problem with it when he found out about it.

I would wear it as a badge.

It's a new defensive tactic. It has the potential to revolutionize the game.

It's football and we weren't even good at hitting people.

the problem i have is that...naturally when one says bounty, you think that the players are out to hurt someone on purpose for money.

but i think it is more along the lines of "go out, play fast, play physical, play fair. If you hurt someone in the process, you'll be rewarded. But keep it within the game."

ie the Kurt Warner hit by Bobby McCray. Well within the rules of the game.

Its just hard for me to think they were trying to hurt people outside the rules of the game and no referee saw it.

id be curious to know the amount of after the whistle/personal foul penalties by the Saints the last 3 years compared to other teams

Im honestly not a supporter of it....just doesnt seem good even if football is a violent sports...especially when alot of players have the two-faced speak of saying in the media "we want to hurt but not injure players" and then put bounties...

Does anyone think its a problem with it happening in College? Vilma was accused of doing this at Miami...
