I have a bottle of it that I'm bottle aging for a bit just to see if it gets better than it already is.

I'm also bottle aging 3 Jester King Black Metal Imperial Stout's and an Avery Salvation Golden Ale.

The Black Metal is one of the best beers I've had in a while. I came back with a mess of them when I visited my folks in ATX, and now I only have 3 left that I refuse to touch for a while. :CSB:

FBD: no beer, but two fingers of Lagavulin 16yr while I study.

Went a little crazy at Calandro's... They always have exactly what I'm looking for.

You can find other Bear Republic beers but not Racer 5 ? I'd guess that Racer 5 would be one of their more widely distributed beers.

They are damn good. This is only the second one I've had--Stone SSR being the other. I love them.

BTW, The Chimes has this back on tap. Went the other day, and they were out of Hopitoulas. Server suggested Racer 5.

FBD - Rogue Yellow Snow IPA - not as good as I remember it. Nothing special given all the other really good IPA's I've had of late.

SBD - Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout - so glad I stocked up on this.

Remarkable beer. This one really stands out. I bought all Matherne's had on the shelf last week.

The more IPA's I try, the more I like the well balanced ones. Bell's Two Hearted Ale, Dogfish Head 90 Minute and Racer 5 are good examples. This one leaves such a bitterness on the palate that I actually get a little turned off by it.

TBD - Anchor Christmas Ale. Clearing some of these out. Still going to age a couple until next year, but I had 6 in my fridge taking up valuable space.

You're welcome, and a pleasure to meet you! I can get more of those in a couple weeks if you want.

I'll trade you for one. I have a magnum of the '11 waiting but still haven't tried it.
