No, not even close. Herb Tyler was 1000x better at that than JJ.

Herb Tyler. Those offenses were gangbusters.

Nah, I'm rolling with Herb. If Jordan could have gotten his decent passing & running on the same page for the majority of at least 1 season, then probably. Herb had a really nice senior year in 98, it was just lost in all the disappointment.

Yep ... all 5'10" of him. JJ doesn't even come close to comparing.

This.

Heck, Mauck was a pretty good damn runner two. I'd put him up there over JJ in that regard. Mike Miley from yesteryear as well.

And this ain't a shot at JJ. He's had his moments, though consistency has never been his trademark. And frankly it's taken him until this year to learn to run the option IMHO, and even now it still looks a bit shakey many times.

He and J-Lee are Tigers and therefore will always have a place in Tiger history. But IMHO they were both average QB's on some very good LSU teams.

Tyler all day long. Not as big but quicker and more accurate.

Yep, if it wasn't for Lou Tepper he would have gotten talked about a lot more. I remember those tiger teams losing games like 35-31 and such. The offense he ran would score points at will, they just had a defense who gave up points just as easily.

I'll stick to the notion that you have to excel at 2 threats consistently to be considered dual threat.

Size has nothing to do with who was the better dual-threat QB. If you watched HT play from 95-98 then the question of the OP answers itself.

The way I read that he was making a point that HB was so good at 5'10 he was better than JJ even though he was so short. I could be wrong though.

Think you're right, I read that quickly.
