From the WVU student publication "The Daily Athenaeum"
quote:

Senior defensive end Bruce Irvin knows he's not the biggest defensive end in the country, but is confident in himself and his teammates to go up against offensive linemen who are almost 100 pounds heavier.

really no chance. might hold up for a quarter or two but sooner rather than later the weight will over come them.

By the 3rd qtr both lines for WVU are going to be hoping they don't jump to the SEC anytime soon. We're going to Ware #11 & Tear #42 their asses out.

Not gonna lie, Bruce has been somewhat of a liability in the run game, which is why he started to see less and less of it, but i mean, what do you expect the players to say when asked? we dont stand a chance?

Random question, do you guys think Ware is better than Ridley, to be honest I thought (still think) Ridley was one of the most underrated backs in college football

they may not succeed ...but that's the only logical approach.

Our running game has been more prominent than our passing game.

Ridley was one of the most underrated backs in college football

+1 He ran with determination

We will see a ton of run plays on the O. Hopefully, we can be successful from the start with the run. If we do, it will be a huge blowout.

Ford seems to have better vision and speed than Ware. To me Ware is a horse, but his vision is lacking sometimes.

ETA: Ooops, I misread your question.

Tough to say, both very very similar. Ware is a lot younger. I would say I'd rather the combo of Ware and Ford over Ridley. Ware and Ford split carries and I think they compliment each other about as well as possible.

When all is said and done, I think Ware will be better. He's way further along than Ridley was at this point. And Ware played QB in high school.

Yet to be seen but just as good so far and probably better vision as a Soph than Ridley had.

The biggest difference is now we have a better 2 in our 1-2 punch. Ford is the best 2 back we've had in a loooong time.

If he doubles his effort from last year, he'll have have 2 assisted tackles.

I don't think he is yet. I think he can because he runs so hard, you just can't get him down with the first tackle. We know he still has at least 1 more year if he doesn't decide to leave. Then we will definitely see what he can do.

i agree, what are they suppose to say?

They will stack the box early and keep their pad levels low for leverage. Everyone has done it to us......and we know how that went.

More than likely we will see a first half similar to MSU/Oregon. THEN, we will see a second half similar to the Oregon game.

WVU is a quality team with pride, but the sheer depth of elite athlete will eventually wear them down.

Whats important to understand is our lineman are on a whole other level than the Marylands of the world. They are physically and mentally prepared far more than the average bear.....they are not only big and strong, but well conditioned.

WVU will fight valiantly but will be sufficated by LSU's blessings of physics. It is cold hard reality due to our coaches and players having a sense of urgency in their blood. They will handle business.

LSU is averaging less than 4 ypc vs some pretty questionable defenses. Would really like to see a dominant performance this w/e for 200+

It would be easier on them and the fans if they did go ahead and admit now they don't stand a chance
