Didn't see this coming, but it makes sense.

Cowboys linebacker Bradie James has played for Nick Saban at LSU, and Bill Parcells, Wade Phillips and now Jason Garrett in Dallas.

"(Garrett) is a mixture of a lot of guys I've been around, from Nick Saban to a little bit of Wade and Bill," James said. "But he played, so he understands, for the most part, how we feel and connect to a player."

James said Garrett compares to Saban in terms of a painful attention to the smallest parts of the game. The Cowboys are practicing everything these days, including end-of-game lateral plays that are seldom, if ever, used.

"(Like Saban, Garrett) is very detailed. Structure is the biggest key. Those little details catch up to you," James said. "We lost 12 games by one score last year and we play hard but a lot of that comes down to attention to detail."

As an Eagles fan, this is good news. Saban stunk it up in the NFL.

He's not going to be the Alabama coach.

I hope he is the head coach of Dallas for 10-15 years and that he does very well there.

I'm sure Saban is thrilled to be compared to a guy who was on a staff that lost 12 games.

So he's going to abandon the Cowboys on Christmas Day? And not make the announcement in Dallas?

Is it a good idea to call your head coach a dick?

i hope that the "attention to detail" pans out on the field. i sure would like to see a run this season. bradie is a great leader on the field and a great ambassador for LSU and cowboys off the field.

Saban is mean and yells. He belongs in the military, not football.

So Garrett is a Midget that treats human beings like trash.

That wonderful detail that only saban has made him average in NFL. I guess he's a NFL failure mainly because he talks down to people and treats them like garbage. Most grown adults like to be spoken to with respect.

Great comparison Bradie. If average is what you get then Garrett and Saban are similar. Although I am sure a Princeton grad knows how to treat people. 8-8 or 7-9 is on the horizon if this is true.
