Hopefully he'll end up in NY, although it would be amusing if the Lakers won a title and he won finals MVP. The meltdown from the Laker "fans" like unknownknight would be amusing.

Denver has no interest in Ron Artest and isn't particularly interested in Lamar Odom either, sources said. A straight-up deal of Bynum for Anthony works financially, but there could be other players involved since Denver would look to shed more salary if possible.

A lineup with Kobe, Gasol, Odom, and Anthony

would not lack for scoring - although I'm not sure Anthony would add much in the triangle or play any defense

Still, it is interesting

Even Chris Wallace could never make a deal this bad. If this goes through, you're pretty much giving away Melo for $.15 on the Dollar.

That's why you have to trade him and Lord knows they should have well before this point. And the DEN/NYK/MIN deal on the table would be far superior to this trade for the Nuggetsdepending on what the final chips thrown in would be.

I think Gasol is still on the podium waiting for the Finals MVP trophy he earned last year

salary dumps happen all the time

pre-La, gasol was not seen as an elite player by most people (including analysts). he was mocked about being an all-star once in memphis (getting his shot blocked by a guard didn't help). he was seen as a stat-compiler on a bad/average team who was soft as shite.

my crusade against Kobe fanboys the last couple days has grown exponentially.

if the Lakers get Melo they'll be intolerable. although it will give those of us who think Kobe is overrated all-time a bit more fuel for our fires.

but not everyone thought that way.

Greg Pops was pretty upset about the whole situation IIRC

Still would get beat by the Celtics. Gasol and Odom countering KG, Shaq, Perkins, and Davis. Just dont see it.

Melo is unstoppable when he gives a shite. See playoffs 2 seasons ago. This trade would dwarf the Gasol trade and I'd stop watching the NBA dead serious. It will be a Thunder/Heat/Celtics/Lakers parade for the next 5-6 years AT least. Why bother watching that shite?

Unless you're saying Shaq is gonna carry the Celtics to a championship, you just saw it last year.
