You have to remove the plug, which is highly illegal. Except for the special goose managment season

One of my guns is the original Benelli Black Eagle which is notorious for being able to put 4 shells in the gun with the plug in. I doubt it will work with a Beretta as this was unique to this particular Black Eagle to my knowledge, as it doesn't work on any other Beretta or Benelli auto that I own.

I was just about to post about the super black eagle. My dad has an older one and you can float a shell under the chamber.

Me and my dad both have them and do it all the time...

no you don't. one goes in the chamber, two in the magazine, and one sits between the bolt and that cartridge guide thingy (can't think of the term) that moves back and forth. it's not explained in any manual but he does it regularly with no issues

i forgot about that. another guy i know says he floats a shell under the chanmber with his SBE also.how do you do it? what's the process?

yes this is only with the original SBEs as has been stated...ive got an Xtrema2 and you can't do it with this gun...your buddy must have had his plug removed as Hat pointed out

I have never even shot an SBE, how does the shell "float"? Seems like a cool feature.
For the guy who started the thread: If your friend is putting 3 in the magazine(one in the chamber), he better not get caught. It doesn't matter if the plug is in, if it holds three in the magazine it is illegal.

Like others have said I was only aware of the original Benelli SBE being able to do this.
Load the magazine, open the bolt and slide a shell in through the ejection port and then put one in the chamber.

Too many people posting amidst the NC, Cotton Bowl, and Miles rumors. They use a lot of bandwidth. They'll probably turn them on by the end of the week, unless some new OC rumors start floating around.

I've seen it done with multiple different types of shotgun. SBE was the one that got the most attention but since then I've been there when it was done with others.
