Want to get a decent set for the in-laws.

Any suggestions?

I've been looking here.

do the 24.95 ones. They look like the ones we have.

I have several sets of the Reidel. For whatever reason, they rarely get used. People just don't seem to select them. I have a few unopened boxes of them.

I got mine from a restaurant supply store. They're nice and made to be washed repeatedly.

Being the old man I am....I feel the stemless glasses alow the wine to get warm too fast (could be because I don't put the glass down till it's empty)....but I personally would rather the stemmed glass....so if I'm ever at your party......I won't use em either.

I have stemless and everyone hates them. Most people I serve them to don't "palm" the glass and like to hold it by the stem, especially when drinking a chilled white wine.

Get some Reidel with stems.

Unless your in-laws spend time on a sailboat...WHY? Sure they fit in the dishwasher better but...???

The only time I see the stemless glasses come in handy is on the boat. Otherwise- go with the stems.

Makes a lot of sense, Tim. I think I'll "gift" the rest of them.

That would be "re-gift"....send some to the count...would go well with his MD2020.

I might be in the minority, but I like stemless.

Of course, I only like red wines at room temperature, so getting warm isn't an issue.

Well, I bought these for myself, so I'm not sure re-gift applies.

The count would probably "return to sender" and I don't know if he's got room in the van to store them, though I read where he threw things at all of his "tv's" after the LSU event on Saturday in which we came in second. Maybe that van is bigger than I thought.

Body temp is 98.6 degrees....celler temp is around 60 degrees....your hand will warm that wine up....whereas the stem will transfer very little heat.

True. I guess I just drink too fast

Also, I hold with my fingertips and am rarely in situations where I'm carrying the wine around without setting it down anyway. I can see where it would be a problem during a party or something though.

I agree with LaLady....I only drink reds and I don't care if it gets warm.

I bought a few and I use them simply because I have kids and they're less likely to be knocked over. Whenever I'm drinking something really good, I use stems.

Went with the Reidels and had their initial added to them as well.

I got the stemless because I was with them the other night and they mentioned that they needed some more of them. They probably have 100 stemmed ones anyway so figured that would just be a waste.

Thanks to everyone for your input.
