But.....

I'm in the group of the so-called "negatigers". I hve posted countless times about JJ playing horribly. I have been pissed about lack of coaching i.e., 4th and 6 at AU. I have thought that having an offense ranked near last, out of 120 schools, is simply unacceptable.

Now having said that, I digress. I guess beating Bama means that none of those issues really happened or matter.

Always remember the more reserved you are now, the less you will have to take back later. This team has had MAJOR problems on the offensive side of the ball. Just because we beat Bama doesn't mean that JJ is all "fine and good to go". It's not like the kid lit the world on fire. His past performance has been so bad that his mediocre stats against Bama seemed like drastic improvement.

I am still worried about Ole Miss and Arky. Nobody has EVER doubted the talent on this team. Some fans have just wondered about the coaching. You have to ask yourself. It was apparent that adjustments were made at the half for the Bama game. Where were these adjustments at for ALL of our previous games. Why was the playcalling finally opened up more? Oh, i get it. None of the other games mattered as long as we beat Bama.

The criticism and pressure finally got t Miles and the coaching staff. The players and coaches felt compelled to mention that Miles was a good coach. Chavis even mentioned how well Miles is at game strategy. JJ mentioned the playbook being opened up some. PP7 and Kelvin both spoke about how good it felt to see coach Miles "finally let go of the stress".

It was a great win, but this coaching staff and team have to be thinking about that AU game. Well into th 4th, tie game, and LSU had the ball. Yet no aggressive playcalling. No attitude like we saw for the Bama game. Please don't let 1 win over cloud your judgement. At 8-1, nobody can argue with this teams talent and ability, they are REALLY good.

Arkansas will be a tough game. However, there is absolutely no excuse for this team to lose to a sub-.500 Ole Miss squad.

It must suck to be you. Either you have tis fragile little ego that has to somehow be right once in your miserable life so you keep bashing LSU, or you are just not very bright and you believe all the crap that the drunk down at the last stool tells you.
Just go away. Don't pass go. Just go away.

I agree. There are 4 teams with better records in the country than LSU. Four. We are #5 in the BCS. We play in the toughest conference and we lost to the #2 team in the BCS. For chrissake, can we just get by this crap for A COUPLE OF WEEKS!!!

I've never been in the group of 'negatigers.' I've always supported Miles and I even support Crowton. But our QBs... both of them ..scare me to death.

i agree with you. our offense still sucks. JJ did not have a great game.

Given - our chances are greatly improved for winning out if JJ doesn't turn it over and makes 1 big play on offense , and the o line and running game can hold onto the ball for 1st downs, keeping the defense fresh.

the team was really up for bama. will they be up for om and ark? both these teams can score which is a problem for this lsu team.

i hear what you are saying - this team is talented enough to be expected to run the table. if we lose to OM and Ark, the so called posi-tigers will be rejoicing that we finished 9-3 and got a decent bowl game, cause at the beginning of the season no one expected it. The rest of us will be lamenting the squandering of talent.

JJ can hit wide open receivers. we should be able to plan schemes to get one wide receiver open early and often.

For those that can't comprhend what they read...

Not once did I dispute LSU's record. Not once did I say they were a bad team. As a matter of fact, I distinctly said they were REALLY good.

We beat Bama. It moved us up the polls and it was a much needed victory. However, it f'ing doesn't excuse coming out of a t=TO with 10 players on the field. It doesn't excuse failing to call another TO and getting the players on the same page. It doesn't not excuse the debacle that went on at the end of the UT game. So like I said, don't let 1 game cloud your judgment.

Could it be worse? Yes. Are there a ton of teams that would like to be in our shoes right now? Yes. Hopefully this team has finally got on track with ALL aspects of the team.

If we win out we should earn a BCS berth. However, we have nobody to blame but ourselves if the right teams lose be we somehow get passed over by BSU or TCU for the MNC. Honestly, who doesn't think we would beat either of those teams? We would be both on any field.

But the voters (human element) don't like LSU. Even after the Bama win they just don't care about us. It probably has a lot to do with having an offense ranking around 100th or so for most of the season. W boast about a tough schedule and only having 1 loss. Fact of the matter is, our voice doesn't ring as loud because of the UT win, and the fact that our offense has been putrid. The detractors will always say that we have the defense to slow down ANY team, but the question will be can we even score enough to keep uo with some of the other offenses. Outsiders only look at this team as a pretender because of the offense. And no, beating Bama did not change that outlook.

I'd say so, considering it's the first time we beat a ranked Bama team in Death Valley,

Ok, give us one name, just one name that will come to LSU if we fired Miles with the season he is having. I'm sure tons of coaches would love to come to LSU when we just fired Miles after this season. Just incase you don't understand what my point is, Les will not be fired eventhough that's what a handfull of nottigerfans want to happen. And yes you're not a "negatiger" you're not a tiger fan at all. You bring no substance to your OP just your hurt feeling, because Miles doesn't coach the way you want to tell him to coach. Stick to being irrelavent like the rest of us, buck up and be a man and start being a tiger fan again if that's possible for you miserable so called fans.

ole miss worries me more than arkansas.

nutt is a better coach with a mobile qb.

we match up quite well against this arkansas team bc their qb is non mobile.. and they will just try to pass deep.. where we will have great coverage and tremendous pressure on mallet.

Should probably keep an eye on this. Masoli suffered a concussion last week. Even if he does play, I doubt he'll be running as much as is typical.

I don't want Miles fired. I think you are making an unfounded assumption. I'm trying to put this win in its proper perspective.

I'm saying that we still have some glaring problems that need fixing. Everybody wants to jump on board with the "I never doubted Les Miles" talk. I referred to nyself as part of the negatiger group in refernce really to another thread.

I'm simply stating that if you step back and place yourself back in the time during the AU game. It was just mind-boggling to watch this team come out of a TO with only 10 on the filed. Then amid obvious confusion, the coaching staff just stood by watching a confused team fail miserably. Nobody thought to call another TO. JL seemed to be the ONLY player that knew the play. Also UT bailed us out. That too was total confusion.

A win is a win but you have to get better. You get better by 1st admitting your mistakes and adressing them. This is a really great team. I applaud the coaching staff for doing an EXCELLENT job against Bama. But where was this coaching and "WANT" to win prior to this game?

This team has struggled all season but only in this game was the playbokk opened up more. Our defense was even more aggressive. That let'er rip attitude was prevalent. IMHO, we saw these things out of mounting pressure on the coaching staff. I just think they should have been playing/coaching like this. This is the 1st game we played to win and not to lose in the 2nd half. I finally have to eat crow and admit that I now understand what they have been seeing in practice from JJ.

Look I will say this, I know we are all big LSU fans. I merely was trying to express how pointless some are with their OPs. The fact that Miles has this team at 8-1 with the play we've gotten at the QB position should be enough for every tiger fan to give him his just due. Simply stated, we shouldn't be where we're at with the lack of QB production. Why are most not admitting this. Miles IMO has done an outstanding job so far this year. Blame him for the QB situtation, he recruited them. But at least see what's so obvious, his work this season with this team his been incredible given the QBs. I can't say it better than that.

What a huge load of horseshite.

The 'voters' have us as the number 5 team in the country in the AP...best ranking of all teams with a loss, and the Coaches poll has Wisconsin ahead...number six in the country.

WTF do you want. We get tons of respect.

Quit being a whinny biotch.

What was the difference for JJ's play? He actually threw beautiful and accurate passes farther than 20 yards? That is the best play I have seen from him since the Ga. Tech game 2 years ago.

How bout having a TEAM ranked #5 in the BCS? What have you thought bout that?

As to JJ, if you can't be happy/pleased/content/respectful of his effort in this "HUUUGE" win, then you gotta be one tough guy to please.
