Taking out the first TD run by Jefferson against Tennessee and the last drive against McNeese as anomalies, they compare in this way.

*Lee 4 carries – 17 yards (3 sacks)
*Jefferson 5 carries 12 yards
* Jasper 2 carries 16 yards

It was a wheel route. Ridley misjudged it, but the LB made a great play.

All that needs to be said about this is that JJ has been solely responsible for 1 TD in the last 3 games...his 83 yd TD against Tennessee. Other than that, the offense under Lee's direction has been mostly responsible for every TD we've scored since then.

Don't discount the turnovers.

I did this last night and the reception was such that I thought that I'd throw together all three games.

There is absolutely no argument that Jefferson should see playing time at this point.

Why isn't any local media calling Les Miles out on this? Les Miles always says the reason he is running 2 QB system is that both QBs bring different skills to the game. The skill JJ is bringing is turnovers and punts while JL is bringing scores.

But there is... Les knows that over the next two years we will need both JL and JJ. He's gotten JL's confidence up and he's now doing very well. He's trying to get JJ's confidence up in hopes that he'll be the QB we had against Ga Tech. If we have both, our offense will be very tough to stop. As it is now, an injury to JL and we're screwed. Of course playing weaker personnel to develop them cost you some points, and Les is cutting it too close. But there is a reason to play JJ.

This myth has got to stop.

We game planned for 1 sold month for GaTech. That got us up early, and GaTech didn't have the offensive plan to come from behind

In the 2nd half, JJ was 5/13 for 21 yards.Pretty much the same guy we are seeing, two years later.

It's not a myth. JJ has the potential to be that guy. Les wants him to be that guy and is trying to do that. Will it happen? Who the hell knows? Sure, JJ isn't playing anywhere close to that now, but we sure didn't think JL would be playing like this at the end of last year.

In the second half, he was 5/11 and fumbled the ball in the endzone for what would have been a safety. I think he IS the quarterback we had against Georgia Tech. people just like to glorify him in that game because our ground game put up 160 yards and 4 TDs while our Defense held GT in check for the entire game... and because this represented a departure from how we had played earlier in the year, they somehow feel that Jefferson was responsible.

Georgia Tech was Jefferson's best game BY FAR, but he was still average at best.

In regards to last night, there's only one comparison needed.

4 yds vs. 4 TD's

He may have been average, but he was effective and we moved the ball. Look, JJ is not doing a good job, but we really can't say for certain that JJ can't become one. We said the same things about JL.
