218/209/180ish
I was actually 220 at my heaviest, and just figured out yesterday one of the biggest reasons I haven't been able to lost weight. My wife always starts a fight with me when I start eating healthy, then cooks way more food then she needs to. I was down to 210 the last time I posted then went back up to 219.
Got in a big fight with her yesterday, but this weight is coming off.

Yeah

So after 5 days of eating under 1800 calories and exercising an hour every day, I managed to GAIN a pound.

So what do you think it is? Water retention or something?

I'm not talking about a brisk walk. I'm talking about probably burning at least 400 calories each day

It's a plateau.. something everyone faces. I don't know why it happens, but it does. Just stick with it; once you break the plateau you will drop a ton of weight, fast.

That's what I'm thinking

I just find it funny that people think it's soooo easy to drop weight. Just run some math and stay under X calories and do Y amount of exercise.

I've been eating well under maintenance level for someone my size and exercising like crazy and I gain weight.

It can be simplified to that; but anyone who has not actually done it has no clue.

The math certainly doesn't hold up over the short term, that's for sure.

diet is for weight loss, exercise is for fitness.

do both and you'll eventually break through.
sometimes they work against each other. Muscle stress causes fluid retention, then you get into increased muscle mass. Ask CAD why Chronic cardio hasn't helped him reach 175.

I can't lose weight at 1800. I can maintain. I have to be under 1200 to lose and I exersise 60-90 minutes six days a week.

Maybe I need to give myself a few days off of the weights if I'm that worried about the number on the scale

But I'm not. I know I'm getting in better shape
