As a New Orleans resident at the time of Katrina, it was personally extremely powerful to me. Gut wrenching for anyone else?
I thought tonight's episode was excellent. I'm ready for the next season. I also look forward to rewatching the first season again with now knowing the outcomes.

I thought the entire finale was great, but the flashback was an especially good touch. I really enjoy this show.

Yes they did do the flashbacks at Damon's(however you spell it) funeral. It just showed what all of the main characters were doing right before the storm, packing, driving, stuff like that. Oh and Creighton is dead.

Finale in the thread title should imply spoilers
I think it's Day-Mo (David Maurice Brooks). Listening to Juvenile and running the red light was his demise.
Sad to see Goodman gone. I thought the flashback was pretty good. The long lines at the gas station with the $6.79/gallon pricing brought back some back memories.

Yea that makes sense. But I am kinda happy to see Goodman's character gone. I was getting pretty tired of listening to him bitch and moan about everything. I kinda liked him at the beginning of the show but these last few episodes just ruined it.

Man I remember the day I left like it was yesterday. Left in the middle of the night after only packing for about 30 mins.
I remember thinking that my life will DEFINITELY be different when/if I ever returned to N.O. That scene was spot on. Well done Mr. Simon.

Seeing Goodman alive again during the flashback was pretty powerful.
And I agree with the everyone that the flashback had a sense of realness about it. They got it spot on which really suprised me.
This was by far the best episode of the season IMO. It had the most substance and meaningful dialouge.
Also I enjoyed Khandi's comment about all of her family making noise in the tomb after she had to cut the large check to get it fixed and her death stare as she walked away.

Agreed! When the cook was watching the weather and commented that the storm was the size of the whole GOM, I remember watching that and SAYING THE EXACT SAME THING! Really good work HBO!

I didnt get a chance to watch last night. I was wondering when they would do a flashback scene. I actually figured they would open with one in the first episode

It was definitely well done. Last night was the best episode of the season, by far.

Jesus tap dancing Christ. Can you just stay the frick out of the threads about a show that you're not even watching anymore? No wonder you're considered one of the "King Douches" of the site. You do some stupid shite on every board.

Oh, I already knew the answer. More of a rhetorical question. You need to stick to creeping out the ladies on the OT.

Most creepers have no idea they're creepy. You're filling out that profile quite nicely Slo.
