Per a PFT poster from DC-

quote:

Rumor in D.C. is Jammal Brown for Rocky McIntosh and LaRon Landry.

LINK

That gets us OLB depth and a safety, though The Ron is going to get his arse chewed by Williams if he doesn't start playing smarter.

So we still can't stop the run and now can't stop double-moves by receivers?

If that is true why the hell did we just pick Robinson.

Saints Secondary:
Greer
Porter
Harper
Landry
Jenkins
Young
Gay
Robinson
Vaughn

Did I miss anyone?

Also that would mean we would probably have our last two first rounders on the bench. The same thing could be said if Sharper ends up resigning, but that doesn't look like the Saints plan.

I don't particularly want LaRon at this point either, as he and Harper are both natural strong safetys and Harper doesn't get beaten nearly as often.

I'm just repeating the rumors from DC that I saw posted.

You didn't hear? We're going to run that new 1-2-8 defense Greg's been dreaming of at night.

Why would need LeRon Landry if he's a more natural fit at SS?

I didn't want to start a new thread b/c this is purely speculative, but the Broncos just lost Clady to a knee injury (basketball related apparently). This is exactly the kind of situation that may end up benefiting the Saints as we move closer to camp. Inevitably teams are going to lose guys and when it's a team like Denver (very active in trade market), you have to pay attention. I wouldn't mind taking D.J. Williams off their hands

Have not heard that one around town yet but don't be shocked if DS finds his way to DC.
