It may not be, but if LB is much less mind reliant, he may not lose much time making the transition.

I think theories like this are retarded.

I didn't say it was true. You would assume that one has more than the other. Did you not see me ask the question about which takes more?

He's never played LB before, but he's been around the game of football for most of his life; he has to be somewhat familiar with the positions directly in front of him.

It may not be, but if LB is much less mind reliant, he may not lose much time making the transition. Safeties have to often make a lot of judgment calls during the game that could make or break a play as the last line of defense. As a LB, he may just have certain responsibilities to do, and do them.

It's all about football instincts. Not saying he couldn't make a transition to weakside LB but this argument started bc someone said that would be easier to do than just playing smarter football at the safety position.

for frick's sake, Landry would stay at safety, end of story.

I've got a dumbass question for everyone...which position makes more money, S or OLB?

My argument was never confirming a move to LB. I was just asking informational questions and talking about the factors that would go into the move.

so we're using a hypothetical problem and solving it with hypothetical answers revolving around a highly questionable, at best, situation.

Yes, what's wrong with that?

Nobody is saying he is coming here; nobody is saying he is making a change; but it is still interesting to talk about what would happen if you had any S make the switch to LB; this could apply to any situation.

then my suggestion is to hop on over to the Harry Coleman thread. That's a much much more likely situation, and he's already here.

That's just me though.
