Laron Landry no thanks.

We could move Landry back to SS where he played his whole career up until he was moved to FS after the Skins had to replace Sean Taylor.
Landry would be a good run stopper.

I disagree, they are going to deal him while he is still of high value.

It's pretty obvious from the Redskins game that Sean Payton doesn't respect Laron's coverage abilities.

He probably could, he would be kinda light though.

Again, not saying it's going to happen, but this is the type of situation that makes it more probable. That's why I didn't want to start a thread specifically on the Clady injury. I'm sure there will be others between now and the start of the season (whether it be in off-season workouts, training camp, or even pre-season games).

Landry over Roman Harper? Not only no, but hell no.

Alright guys, time for a little bit of intelligence here. Like it or not, Laron would play alongside Roman Harper. GW likes both his safeties fairly versatile and that's what we'd have. Laron is a liability in the pass but he and Roman would excel in helping the front 7 in the run and other facets. GW would keep the scheme to help them in the passing but Laron is able to play FS, he just needs to play smarter.

That is WAY WAY WAY easier said than done.

If LaRon is going to try and bulk up to 250, why the hell couldn't he play OLB? Id be down with this trade.

playing smarter is harder to do at a position he's played for the past 8 years than switching to a new position he's never played before in the NFL?

I'm not disputing this. But which position takes more smarts, OLB or S?

Smarts/Instincts are nearly one in the same. He has never played OLB before. This is really a no brain argument. He's a safety right now.
