Same here! But I have another question: would it be possible for the braintrust at ESPN to get together and decide to give us fans just ONE Duke/UNC game without Vitale's voice dominating everything? I know he knows basketball and I know he is an icon, but just once I would like to watch this game without having to hear him.

every other year the final game when it's at UNC is almost always on CBS...

A lot of young fans hate Duke, but UNC was the Yankee like force of East Coast basketball for decades. Duke is always a scrappy team.

Its something I really don't get. You look at Duke's roster and then look at UNC's when this season starts and say one of these teams is going to win by 32....... who do you think is going to win by 32? A coach K team would never lose like UNC has this year (he wasn't coaching that 95 team that was down), to be honest I never thought a Roy Williams UNC team would lose like this. Never got the hatred for Duke.

It's because a) they have more consistent success than basically any program, with the possible exception of Kansas and b) many of their teams have a star player who is white. For some reason, white people are allowed to be good in football, baseball, hockey, and any other sport. However, if they are good at basketball, they will face an unbelievable amount of backlash from upper-middle class, white college students.

Idk about that, but they are always given calls because they are DUKE. Charges, blocks, etc.. Watch them in the ACC and NCAA Tourneys. THEN you will understand the hate.
