Seeing a lot of LSU fans upset about the game, with good reason...Had Texas finished up with their comeback and BAMA lost, would you still be worried about BAMA next year? I am, they return plenty of starters and that a-hole Saban is still their coach.

I guess most of the angry feelings are with the fact that BAMA won, Saban held up crystal ball (I didn't watch that part). To me, nothing has changed in terms of LSU and next season. ( I sound like $aban).

What do you think? Let it all out...

with Ingram, Jones, Richardson, and pretty much most of their offense returning, yep, there's cause for concern.

defensively, a Saban defense will always be a Saban defense.

It might make it a little harder to recruit the same guys as Bama.

But as for the season, the only thing it changes it Bama might be less hungry when they come into TS next year. I doubt it, but maybe.

This.

Crowton cannot be allowed to drag this team further into the abyss.

Being dominated statistically in all offensive categories is getting old.
Winning ugly is all LSU has with Crowton.

LSU should be picked #2 in the SECW going into the season... by Novemeber when we play Bama it will have sorted itself out.

I believe LSU will compete for the SECW - and therfore the SEC and therefore the NC.

I don't see that as "settling" in any way ... I think I'm a realist ... if we improve our execution AND coaching we win SOME of the close games we lost this year and IF we get lucky (like UF and Bama did) we win them all and play in the SECCG and if we win then the BCSCG I believe.

But I'll let the season unfold and see what happens --- I do wish our team had the grit and determination that UT showed last night given the loss of their start QB early on.

We have the talent - do we have players with the WILL the WANT of whatever frick you want to call it?

If we have coaching blunders next year and still don't look acomplished on Offense or improve our 3rd down conversion % on Defense --- changes are going to be necessary - but I'll let them coach the season and watch before I say who's fired, etc.

I appreciate your thoughts. you are a hell of a lot more positive than I am. I do think we will be competitive, but I don't highly anticipate us being SECW champs. I know you said there were plenty of ifs.

It's easy to blame Crowton alone, but he has simply bought into Les Mile's philosophy. I love how everyone thinks Crowton is the sole problem area...he is reporting to Les Miles and is gravitating to his style of coaching.

thanks. too many years of the Saban Nation. Hell, he did lead us to a National Championship. I still remember how that felt.

The next one just wasn't as great, maybe it had to do with things I was dealing with at that time...writing a Thesis, close family member going through chemo, etc.
We should be proud to have accomplish what we have in terms of playing in the SEC conference and facing the opponets our guys have faced....

Bama only beat us by 9 points and had to cheat to win with LSU having key players injured. I am not worried.
