this weeks statements...

LSU Dominates Arky...Les going for a few 4th downs and getting them, an onside kick in the first half...ect

destroys some big 12 team in Dallas...Top 10 finish at 10-3

wins the SEC next year and gets back to the NC.

I wonder how crazy this board would be; would the the same folks wanting Miles' head now be the same folks posting every 10 minutes?

The game sucked, it was a huge mistake (that i promise you he will take to his grave and it WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN)...but as long as Les is a Tiger i am a fan guys sorry but that is just how it is and always will be for me.

Look at Texas in 2006 and what was being said about Mack Brown and his coaching staff. We can come back from the edge if a quality OC is hired and JJ develops as QB for his junior/senior seasons.

Heard that after his first game. If that scenario plays out most on here would be pissed because Les would be here even longer. Most would want him to lose so he can be gone sooner. Sad but true...

These are the same comments before the Ole Miss game. What if we go 11-2, etc.

Now it's what if we go 10-3.

Next week it'll be what if we go 9-4.

I predicted a 9-3 season so beating Arkansas would put us right where I thought.

I will not retract my negative feelings towards Miles this year though. The countless too many men on the field, delay of games, illegal formations, and lack of clock management has really burned me up this year and cost us at least two of the three losses so far. I perfer to play smart football and not rely on having a big sack of nuts and converting 5 fourth downs and having to run trick plays to win. If we don't win the SEC next year regardless then I think we should look elsewhere for a coach.

I would be happy, however, if you remember right before halftime of the UGA game, LSU was in a sort of similar situation regarding clock management. I think they had the ball on UGA's side of the field and ended up running 2 plays in like 1:26. LSU won, so noone really bitched about it. He/Crowton are terrible clock managers. I am happy that they have stopped the check with me bull crap stuff. That had to go.

Again...QB...QB...QB

Yes, I realize that we have a ton of talent.

But QB is a glaring weakness! JJ has progressed and I'm expecting big things from him...as a Junior. But did you really expect him to light the world on fire this year? Seriously?

Yes, he looked dominate against GT...and if you look at that one game, you might have had a false sense of security about the QB position.

But, the team and the QB had about a month to prepare for GT! At the beginning of the year, JJ had only started a handful of games as a TRUE freshman! Please!

Exactly BT. That debacle last Saturday was a clusterf--k of epic proportions. Yet, if we win out, the Miles bandwagoners will be touting the 10-3 record and not looking at the complete "body of work" during the season. The game planning, clock management, utilization of talent and overall preparation have been issues all along. And, as much as it pains me to say, they don't look to improve as long as this regime is in place.

That's not going to happen. Lightning doesn't strike twice in the same spot.

Nobody is getting to the NC with 2 losses again, and Les has proven that he can't go a season losing less than two games, even when he has a team full of seasoned and talented veterans (2006, 2007).

Even if someone made it losing 2 games, it wouldn't be us, b/c we no longer have the reputation that was a big part of us getting the nod in 2007.

Face it. Miles inherited a top 5 program, sustained it for a few years, and then let it fall back to the pack.

clock management

What clock management. He's been horrible at this for YEARS! It just took this epic collapse for the national media to grab hold to this weakness.

Miles needs to own up to this horrible achilles heel and admit that he needs help. It sounds like he might just be doing that.

if this happens, true fans lets just forget 08 and 09 this program had a setback and miles brought it back, i will never be against htis guy

Bandwagon fans or fans who will forever hate Miles, this was just a lucky year (they will name a bunch of reasons that its not Miles who won it, something like Florida sucked without tebow, bama wasn't as good as last year, we got lucky in the title and played some horrible team)

unfortunately the true fans at least on this board are the minority

You have to look at the whole picture. Winning makes a lot of bad things better. If you look back at the past few years LSU has had multiple penalies that are a direct result of poor coaching such as delay of game, false starts, offsides, illegal formations, etc. These all point to poor coaching. Other teams do not have nearly the number of these penalties. If the ball had bounced negatively over the past 3 years and Miles lost many games (thst he barely won)that are decided by few points, he wouldn't be here now. Winning has covered up his poor game management, and poor discipline. The only reason he is still here is that LSU talent> most other SEC talent as LSU had a stockpile and Miles has been successful at recruiting. Other SEC teams have equal talent as LSU and LSU in now losing in the Ole Miss game because of coaching. When the house of cards starts to fall, LSU will be down for years as Miami was. The only team that faced a similar fate was Florida, and they escaped because Florida removed the problem early before they took a great fall (Zook). I would be really surpised after a national exposure of poor game management as seen on TV that recruits would have serious reservations about coming to LSU>

I love how no matter what, they always forget that Les recruited this talent. So when it was Sabans recruits, he won with somebody elses recruits. If he fires Crowton and we win out next year, it will just be because of the talent. That he recruited. Including the new OC and DC.

He'll never catch a break again from these types of morons so who cares what they think. I hope Les is smart enough to ignore the mouthbreathers and just do his damned job BEFORE it gets out of hand from now on. He's been too slow up to now on correcting trends. And he needs to have Flava Flav walking around behind him on clock management and nothing else.

SEC West next year would be a nice step in the right direction and we're poised to do it if you can clear the tears out of your eyes and look around without the emotion for once.

If Miles were a high school coach his faults would be understandable. At $3 mil a year, no way.
