Their technique is garbage most of the time. And that's squarely on poor coaching.
Let's see:
- Poor tackling
- Dline standing straight up after snap.
- No gap integrity.
- Can't set an edge to save their life. Also Savion is slowest DE i have EVER seen at LSU.

Why treat them any different than any other team coming into Tiger Stadium? Give 'em the full TS treatment.

Most HS don't do near the amount of live scrimmaging they did several decades ago. Therefore, most youngsters don't grow up learning good technique for tackling.
They much prefer the 7 on 7 stuff, which is no tackling, and only highlights the skill spots - qb, wr and db.

Instead of working on JD to try and push the ball deep or be a pocket passer, the coaches should have taught him to keep his eyes downfield when he takes off and dump it to an open receiver when the defense breaks off to come aft...

He's a slot guy. BK offense uses tight ends. He will do well in an offense that utilizes slot receivers. Good luck to the young man....

In both those games, the opponent had high yardage numbers in rushing against Tiger D. That usually points to an issue with gap integrity.
Other team's OC can help scheme against by running mis-direction to exploit it. Cutbacks, counters, delayed runs all are ways to attack defenses with poor g...
