What CFB head coach is acceptable to the Miles haters?

We have seen more than enough Les Miles hate here through the years, which makes me wonder. Who is a head coach that is completely acceptable to the common fan on the rant?
Who is the guy that has his program where it should be year after year, always hires the best assistants, always recruits and lands the best players, and doesn't make the kind of in-game mistakes that are unacceptable to the many experts here?
Who is the guy that can run a program that always reloads, always contends for at least his Conference Championship and never has a "down" year?

I would prefer Saban, personally.

were you a Saban lover when he was here the first time? I remember a lot of Saban Haters on this site back in those days. What is different about Saban today from the Saban that left here in 2004?

Just because someone questions some obvious deficiencies that are coaching related does not mean they hate Miles.

Bob Stoops would fit this bill.

Supa, no matter who is coaching, there will be criticism...especially after a tough loss. Hell, I started a thread that was very critical of Miles' awful clock management and poor decision to go for 2 too early.
I stand by Les as an excellent coach!
I guess some folks are either too young or senile to remember the awful string of coaches that we paraded around in the late 80's and early 90's. Those days...NOW they exemplified shitty coaching and God awful recruiting.
Les absolutely blows those folks out of the water!

Really? The only two years that this site has really been established under Saban were 03 and 04. Obviously 2003 was great, and personally, I think the 2004 team was very good. We had Marcus Randall/JR at QB and were 1 point against 14-0 Auburn and a couple of blocks in the back against Iowa from being 11-1.
I would like to know the last time that a coach has gone undefeated in the SEC for two straight seasons. The fact that Saban has taken Alabama to two consecutive SEC championship games, while not losing a game in the process, speaks volumes of his program building ability considering most thought it would take 3 years for him to compete.
What's different? A few things, I think. He built LSU into a contender relatively fast. That was his first major college football program, and he achieved a lot of success. He went to the NFL, realized he couldn't mold NFL players into what he wanted, so I think he's now more comfortable with himself as a college coach. I think his teams carry an attitude that they are going to dominate and be perfect. I also think he is the best recruiter in the country not named Pete Carroll, and that he is one of the best developers of NFL talent around.

Oh...HELL NO...I don't want Mack Brown. Let's stick with Les...if he leaves, then I'm all about Brian Kelly. Dude wins everywhere he goes.

what is it about Brian Kelly that tickles your fancy? was it going 9-3 and losing to Louisville, West Virginia and Pitt in 2007? or going 9-3 and losing to OU, UConn and VTU in 2008?
what is it about Brian Kelly that makes him so attractive? He is a football coach in the Big East, what does that mean exactly in the grand scheme of things?

Are you effing kidding me? he is 0 for his last 5 BCS bowls. Currently unranked. There is no way this would be acceptable to LSU fans. He is a bigger choker than Jim Tressel.

So the way to elevated Miles is to compare him to Archer, Hallman and Dinardo? That's like saying my husband beats me, but not as bad as my ex-husband did.

The Saban today hasn't won anything yet, so....

No not kidding My post from an earlier thread.
Said it before and Now again I dont wont Miles replaced. His judgement should come after the season. 9-3 and bowl win = what most of us expected this year.
However, I'll play along.......
BOB STOOPS
Timing is right
Age is right
Resume is right
Dfense wins championships and he is as good at D as any.
Weve done great B4 with coaches with subpar bowl record.....see $abun
bama bribed $abun maybe an LSU should bribe Stoops whose recent unfortunate events (hurt QB) might make him ripe for a change.

What coach would want to come to LSU? In 2007, there was a list with names like Del Rio, et al.
Any of those folks still waiting for the chance?
Personally, I'd stick with Miles.
